On this episode of the Black Men’s Roundtable, we will chop it up with local leaders of the Divine 9 fraternities on the impact of structural racism, discrimination, and bias on marginalized communities in the areas of: Work, Housing, Education, Voting Rights/Voter Suppression, Health and Healthcare, the Wealth Gap, and the Criminal Justice System. We are calling all GREEKS and NON-GREEKS to come out and fellowship with us and become a part of this important discussion because we will take questions from our live audience! Paid adults ($25) can bring up to 5 students at no charge. Admission, lunch and transportation included.

On Saturday, September 16, the Douglasville Police Department will be holding our Fall Community Yard Sale. We invite you to repurpose your old items and find new treasures. Spaces will be a 12×12 grass area. You can request to be next to someone on the application (this person must fill out their own form). This event is RAIN or SHINE and will be held outside on our front lawn. Contact Sgt. Dean for an application or if you have any questions. Registration fee is $25, and an application must be completed and sent in, no spaces will be sold the day of the event.
Please make all inquiries reference this event prior to September 5. We will not have a waiting list, nor will we take names after the cut-off date due to time constraints.

The 2023 Fall Festival and Safety Expo sponsored by the Douglasville Police Department is happening on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10 am – 4 pm at the Douglasville Police Department, 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA. 30135. This is a FREE Event to attend with vendors, touch-a-truck, K-9 demonstration, costume contests with prizes, kids activities, and more. This is a rain or shine event. Vendors are needed, the cost for booth space is $40 and includes a 12’x12’ space. Vendor Registration deadline is September 29. This is also our Faith & Blue Event, churches/religious organizations can contact Sgt. Dean for a separate application and will be placed in a specified area on property.

Art lovers and wine enthusiasts, this will be a debut event like no others. “Art After Dark” will feature beautiful works of art by local artists available for purchase.
